    I am having a reaction to something in hershey’s kisses and other less expensive chocolates and I am worried that it is the soy lecithen? My throat feels tight and my sinuses hurt and where my shriveled thyroid, from rai in 2009 is left it feels really lumpy. I had cut out the 2 chocolate kisses that I was eating a day to see if it got better and I think it did. I ate two today and it is bothering me again. I had allergy testing many years ago and can’t remember being allergic to any foods.

    Has anyone else experienced this kind of thryoid area tightness with a food allergy? I have started a food diary as well and will probably end up at the GP soon. Any help or anecdotes will be appreciated.

    Hello – Hopefully, others will chime in with their own experiences, but it certainly is possible to develop a food allergy or intolerance later in life. Here’s some info from the Mayo Clinic:
