I had a blood test because my general practioner thought I was hypo since I was tired and he thought I had a goiter. The blood test shows hyper. I then had the thyroid uptake test done. The doctor there, at radiology, was very nice and tried to explain me things about being hyper thyroid and options like taking pills or having radioctive thyroid treatment. I feel overwhelmed and confused. I do not feel realy very sick. Just not too great but I have also been strugling with sinus infections and allergies for a year now or is that related? Do I have another blood test to make sure there is no mistakes. Is it bad to walk around with not being treated? I have a harder time swallowing and it feels like I have mild throat ache.I am confused and think I would like to do the radioactive iodine treatment but I feel it is such a permanent jump. I really do not feel like taking pills. Does any one ever spontaneously recooperate from GD? Did anyone ever feel like they did not feel too great but it just can’t be something so bad that I need such radical treatment? I guess I asm still in initial shock/denial. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I just feel like I need support. Anna
