Hello –
I know you aren’t allowed to post actual doctor’s names on the forum but I’m in need of a new Endo. I have a terrible feeling that my doctor thinks I’m a nutcase and his office staff isn’t even that helpful. In fact, I’ve cried after talking to him on the phone because he thinks NOTHING is related to my grave’s.

Anyone in the San Diego are who can PM their doctor’s name (presuming you like them)? Or even just the name of someone to stay away from. It’s hard to find someone that will listen to you and not make you feel like you’re mental

Hello – Hopefully, you will get some PMs with suggestions, but we have several doctors in the area listed on our physician registry, which you can access from the home page at http://gdatf.org/. You do need to be logged in to use the registry.

You can also check out the “Looking for a Doctor?” thread in the announcements section of the forum, as there are a couple of nice physician referral search engines included in that thread.

Hope you can find a doc who will take your questions and concerns seriously! This is definitely a long-term relationship, so it’s worth “shopping around” a bit until you find the right fit.

Doctor’s names can be mentioned now, but we ask that negative comments NOT be posted on this public forum. (If you really wish to give a negative review of a physician, there are other sites where that can be done — healthgrades, vitals, etc.).
