    Hi Lindasue,
I would consider calling your doctor and telling him about the sores and coughing. I became allergic to both ATD’s and got sores in my mouth while on them. Also, the beta-blockers aggrivated my lungs, and I came down with Asthma..which I did not know I had to begin with. My Endo gave me a few tests to do with my breathing to check for it, and there it was! I coughed so much I slept on the couch at nights so my hubby could get some sleep! Since my RAI and not being on ATD’s or beta blockers, I have not coughed at all this winter and got to sleep in my own bed!!! Every one is different, but please do check with your doctor on this, especially with the sores in your mouth. I know they are no fun.
    Praying the best for you!
    Hugs,
    Ellie

    Hello Lindasue,

Are you on PTU or any other anti-thyroid medication? I have read (and have seen confirmation on this site) that sores in the mouth can be a sign of low white blood cell count! Not to scare you, but this can be very serious medical condition. I would suggest calling your doctor right away and getting a blood test done.

    Good luck and god bless!!

    Monica
