I myself haven’t noticed any difference in times of day. I do know that it took over six months to get my levels regulated after my thyroidectomy but I never got into too high of levels – only too low until the labs came back in a normal range. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi, there is a very helpful discussion with the subject line of "New to Replacement, a couple of questions." It began in January 7. There a a good discussion of your question, and good info in each reply. Bobbie and Sky have responded to your questions specifically, with some reasons for the timing, and for taking it on an empty stomach with a whole glass of water..in the morning. I know my stomach is really empty then!
I do this, then have a cup of coffee, and I don’t wait. i also put a bit of milk in my coffee, and don’t worry about it, cause I do the same thing everyday. I don’t want to eat when I get up, so it is easy for me to wait 1/2+ hour before eating breakfast. Check out those comments. Shirley

I started taking my levoxyl at night when I first got it four and a half months ago. I was thinking that would be easier for me to take it at the same time of day each day. Now I am wondering if taking it in the morning is better for my body clock. I am having trouble in the morning with my HR being up too high and feeling jittery. I don’t do caffeine at all and my TSH is still too high so I know I am not getting too much hormone.

Has anyone else done the night vs. the morning and found a difference in how you feel during the day?
