I cannot find it, either, Joy. I’ll check.
Are you looking for info about TED, or only Graves?
I know I saw somewhere some recommended reading for Graves patients. Now I can’t find it. Could someone help me out?
Thanks! JoyGraves disease. Sorry i wasn’t specific enough. It was mentioned somewhere on this site by one of the facilitators, I think.
Joy againYes, there used to be a recommended reading list. I wrote the administrator of the site and am waiting to see what the answer is. I did get a response that the list might have needed updating (i.e. the books were no longer in print, prehaps)…. Anyway, I still don’t know.
I have been looking @ some sites, saw a reference to a book which did not impress me. There is a Mayo Clinic site. ARe you looking for a book? I will search back, ask others. You may stil hear from others who have Grave’s who have not see your post yet. I’ll continue to look. Will also check the archives of this site…..
‘Graves Disease in our own words’ is and excellent book for people with Graves and for family and friends of people with Graves’
Thanks for the recommendation, Countryprincess. I will definitely get my hands on that book. Joy
Dr. Nancy Patterson and I wrote "Graves’ Disease In Our Own Words" a number of years ago. We realized that with people asking the same questions over and over again that the medical community was not addressing our needs. We wrote the book to answer those questions.
It is well worth the price and is available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble on line.
