I had RAI about 11 years ago, took Synthroid for a couple of years- never felt symptoms resolved – switched to Thyrolar but when it was not available I started Armour. I was doing OK – I’ve always felt many residual symptoms such as fatigue, excessive need to sleep, brain fog – until earlier this year when I changed jobs, moved to a new state and was experiencing significant stress. I had always had TSH and T4 in theraputic range but in July my TSH was low and T4 high again. My Armour dose was adjusted and my lab work is in normal range again but I am still having lots of problems. I am so emotional – everything frustrates me to the point of blind rage (it is scaring me!),still fatigued, insomina, eye problems. Now my STD carrier says my doctor didn’t complete their forms to their satisfaction and said my case is closed. I don’t know what they told my boss – haven’t been able to talk to him yet. I am so upset – this is just making things worse. I was scheduled to return to work in about a week but I don’t know if I have a job to return to now – or if I’m going to be able to! Any thoughts?
