    Dear Kathy, A very interssting thought. I have had high hormone-levels
    twice with a remission of 1.5 years inbetween. Although my hormone
    levels were really bad each time, my eye involvment was very mildly and
    has gotten my better since it started some years ago. And for the
    statistics I am a non-smoker.

    Hi,
    How many of you with eye problems are smokers? An information leaflet put out by the British Thyroid Foundation about four years ago stated that people with autoimmune thyroid disease who develop eye disease are ususally smokers. It also says that the eye disease seems to be quite reare in non-smokers. Does anyone have more information on that?
