    Hi again standingfirm,

In answer to your question ~ yes, typically a patient starts on a high dose of ATD (whichever one they choose) and as the levels drop, adjustments are made until they arrive at one (usually fairly low) dose that successfully maintains normal levels for the patient. That doesn’t mean you may not need further adjustments, since the antibodies can flare up or calm down randomly, but the usual progression is from a high dose to a relatively low dose.

I’m so glad we can help. I remember how it felt to crave simple, good information when I was newly diagnosed, and how good it felt to find this board ~ it’s a true blessing, and I’m also blessed just to be a part of it. :-)

    Thanx Ski-

That did help to clear some things up for me. Just when I think I have it figured out something new confuses me,lol. Let me ask one more question, You are given a high dose at the beginning of ATD and then need to just use a maintanence dose after your levels come down? I did see the endo yesterday but she was very confusing as well, I feel that I get my best info from you all, You put it in terms I can understand, so thanx again!
