    Hi Dilisiod,

    No wonder your eyes were running. We do not use eye drops that get the red out. Those are blood vessel restricters and they do not help to lubricate the eyes.

    We need to use a good quality eye lubricant that has no preservatives. Nothing to bother the eye and just rehydrate it.

    Well, I never knew that. My eye doctor didnt tell me that either, of course he said to use the moisturizing drops but didnt tell me not to use visine. Soooooo what is there to do to get the red out? Thanks for sharing this info with me.

    Hi Pam,
    Well, there are many different brands on the market, ones that are preservative-free. GenTeal makes a very good drop, along with Moisture Tears, Celuvisc, etc.
    Jake and I like the GenTeal best, but to each his own.
