    I feel better knowing it took someone else two years to get straightened out. Did you keep trying different strenghts of Synthroid or do you take something else. I’m at the point of thinking I may need some T3 with my Synthroid. Linda

    Actually I was on the same dosage the whole time and still am. I remained slightly hyper until I hit normal but I felt so bad that the endo was willing to wait and see if things worked out. He had just decided I would need to reduce my dosage when my next test was normal. I’ve been the same for about two years now. If anyone had told me at the start it would take that long I wouldn’t have believed them. My primary care doctor was surprised that I didn’t have a dosage change. He seemed to think that was the more common situation, and I don’t think my endo expected my beginning dose was high enough for actual maintenance. It’s surprising how individual we all are.
