    Imagine,

First, I need to clarify something — I don’t know that muscle twitching is a sign of the muscles coming back. Two things are happening, I’m getting better and my muscles are growing.

About the hip exercises: I went to the physical therapist for an evaluation. He made no claims to “cure” hip pain but thought he could help me with the surrounding muscles. He found that my glutes were not firing correctly. In other words my butt muscles were not helping my legs. I started out with exercises for my glutes and have been progressing through my core. They’re very difficult movements using muscle and balance — I figure if I stick with it I’ll be walking a tight rope in the circus by next year.

Now to tie all of this together….. I did a search on the BB using the word Glutes. Up pops a post from Jake 01/16/03 Re: shoulder pain/drooping. What a relief it was for me to find he too had a hamster running loose under his skin! I had been keeping that part of GD a secret for fear nobody would believe me. Well, the manicurest had noticed my are flexing rapidly, I tried to explain but there is a language barrier so I guess she’ll just think I’m strange. I’m really getting used to that anyway. :-)

    Linda,

You are a bed of information girl. I’ve been having lots of muscle twiching too and I’ve only gotten that in the past when I was hypo. But my TSH is .45, in the normal range my endo said and I couldn’t understand why the twiching again. And what is so strange is the twiching is in the same spot. Right arm, right leg and never anywhere else. So this twiching could be the muscles coming back? Hmmmmmmmmm, that’s good.
Now if I could only loose the 25 lbs I’ve gain. I’m careful what I eat and walk 2 miles or more everyday, when I’m feeling good, but never loose even 1 pound. I guess this will take a while too. But on the good side my nails and hair are great. Long hard nails and full thick hair like I use to have, so I have to be on the mead. YEAH!! BAby steps is what I keep saying everyday.

    Linda,

The place I get the most pain is in my hip and lower back which tends to shoot into my thigh. When I exercise I do not have full range with the one leg.

How have you been feeling? Are you levels normal?

My levels are back in the normal range so all is well right now.

Hello Bobby, I am glad that this muscle thing doesn’t hurt. I haven’t recieved a call from my endoc office about my last test one week ago 3/21/07 But, I know I am still sick so I guess he doesn’t have to tell me that. Been sick almost one year now. Had a virus most of the summer and as soon as I got over the virus Graves came to town and hasn’t left. Good day’s Bad day’s aren’t there yet. It’s good hr’s bad hr’s. I hope to keep my job but, some family think it’s what keeps me sick. Oh well, gotta lay down now the day was long. God bless you and yours. Tyler1
