    Toni,

I had a similar experience before I was finally diagnosed with Graves. It took a lot of time and frustration before I got a correct diagnosis. Based on the symptoms you describe, you might consider getting a second medical opinion. Also, scroll back through the board. There are lots of posts describing some of the symptoms you are experiencing. There’s a wealth of good information here.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

    Toni:

Do not take the first diagnosis!!! I had the same symptoms, and
believe it or not, they do mimick Anxiety. It was a mis-diagnosis
and if it hadn’t been for a friend at work telling me it
sounded like a thyroid problem, I wouldn’t of even asked for
    the blood test!!

Seek a second opinion, even if it isn’t covered by an HMO.
It is the best thing you can do for yourself!

Thank you for your encouragement. I go to my gyn on Thursday, he wants
to put me on HRT. If I still have symptoms after that, I have a list of
drs. I will see for a second opinion. My heart goes out to those who
try to find an answer because these doctors just look at you as though
you are a nut case. This endo actually said that thyroid problems and
or menopause do not affect the memory. Well, need I say more? Maybe he
has an undectecable thyroid disorder or perhaps he is menopausal and
just “forgot” that memory problems are symptoms of thyroid disorders
or menopause. Have a great day. I’ll keep you posted. Haha Toni
