Yhank you so much for your answer. Being a school teacher and having this disease must be hard. I know I don’t have the energy.

    Thanks

    Hi all.

I have not posted in a while but check in often. Thought I would post a message to encourage all of you who are in the middle of getting the Grave’s disease under control.

It has been two year but I am finally feeling great. I am still taking Wilburton but hope to get off that soon. Please don’t hesitate to take an antidepressant if your doctor thinks you need it. This has made a world of difference in getting my life back to normal. Getting my TSH under control took its toll and I couldn’t get passed the depression on my own.

I still have some problems with fatigue but I found a wonderful doctor who is really good with hormone imbalances and he found the source of the fatigue. I had low estrogen and am being treated for that.

I have now lost the weight I gained after RAI and now exercise five or six times a week. I have made this a priority in my life along with a proper diet. I have a four year old so sometimes it is tuff to fit everything in but my health is important and it should be a priority.

I’m really looking forward to summer this year and just enjoying life. I’m not saying there aren’t bad days (many more good days then bad) and I still have problem with short-term memory but I have learned how to deal with these thing better. I don’t get upset or stressed over this any more and find that I recover from the dad days a lot quicker.

So, I have Grave’s disease and life is great!!!

Hang in there and I’ll be praying for all of you to reach the better side of Graves!!

    Becky
