Wow – am I ever glad I am Canadian and have all my costs paid for. I know our taxes are high to cover it but with all the treatments I have had including two cat scans, stays in the hospital for migraine headaches, hospital stays for steroid intravenous and now these radiation treatments – I am way ahead of the game. I’m sure the stress of worrying over finances does not help this disease. And then they tell you it is better not to work – So – where does the money come from??? About the mask. My next door neighbour gave me a black silk one from the airlines. Many people have mentioned to me that you can get them from the airlines. They probably give them out in first class so I would just call and I’m sure some airlines would donate one to anyone who had the misfortune to have this disease. Shannon, I haven’t heard from you lately. I just got on and read about your fainting. That is terrible. Please find out the cause – I worry about you. I know this not sleeping is terrible because I have been g
oing through it also and am like a zombie getting to my treatments each day. Also at the moment my double vision is very bad. Yesterday we went into a Safeway after my radiation treatment and I was standing telling my husband what I was going to quickly run and buy so we could get home – only it wasn’t my husband!!! The guy listened to me and then said that those things really weren’t on his list – but it sounded OK. Then I couldn’t find my Visa card and it was on the floor. These things just don’t happen to me. I’m getting afraid to go out. Hope it’s a better day for everyone tomorrow – after all it’s Friday. Take care and smile! SAS
