My wife has Graves and was getting dizzy spells about 1 to 2 weeks ago
(a little still), but mostly when she had just started beta blockers and
PTU a week earlier. Her doc suggested it was adjusting to the meds
(she later also got a nasty rash for a few hours). Anyway, someone
on the BB suggested that dizziness should be mentioned to your doc
because it could be anemia. They said thyroid diseases affect patient’s
“intrinsic factor” which interferes with metabolism of vitamin B12. We
haven’t asked our doc specifically about that, but thought that might
be helpful.
