    Hi Patti:

First, one suggestion, never hint to a doctor, talk and request
openly. The doctor heard your hint, but as often with hints,
    they are missinterpreted.

I talked to my primary care physician about my depression and
she sent me to a psychiatrist. I was terrified at first but it
worked out well. I can really work with this guy. Heck, I even
ask him questions about how to talk to my primary care physician.

Any medical doctor, MD or DO can and may prescribe antidepressants.
Mine was prescribed my a psychiatrist.

    HOpe this helps…Carolyn

Your endo or family doc can prescribe these mild anti-depressants,
Patti. Don’t hint, ASK! You are paying for their service.
    They really do help!

    Regards,
    jan
