problems…or maybe you were a pain which they needed. It is so
easy for us to forget that pain is first and foremost an information
system saying ..something is wrong here, listen up. There are two docs
who did a book that discusses the incredible functions of pain based on their
experiences with people who have leprosy. The reason folks suffering from
leprosy “lose Parts” is primarily because they no longer can feel
in their limbs and so they damamge them repeatedly….

possible relationship…and the doc/patient relationship is one of
a very peculiar boundaried intimacy. Respect is so primary…
your ability to gracefully, gently and humbly “cause ” pain
ideally should help respect form up.. Now having said all this ridiculously
ideal stuff…let me acknowledge that I know folks and I know there are lots
more of them “out there” that do a great job of convincing others
that when it comes to treating others with respect they are lost causes,
but hey, we don’t need to believe them. Jeannette
