Good luck with your RAI. Glad you have made a decision that suits you.

I know the separation will be tough, but you can keep in touch with phone calls (even Skype!), and you said it ~ it’ll be worth it when you can play with him again. Take it easy, try to just relax and soak up some peace of mind. You deserve it, you’ve been through a lot! The upside is that there isn’t discomfort involved, so you’ll feel okay ~ we’ll be thinking of you, all the best!!

You all were helpful to me when I had questions about the new diagnosis. I have re-visited with my endo and seen a reproductive endo- and have decided on the RAI treatment. It is tomorrow morning.

I have been nervous and thinking I would change my mind, but my heart symptoms have been almost unbearable and I truly believe this is the right decision for me at this time. Mostly I’m upset because my 2 year old son is going to have to be away from me for a week. He just can’t be here with me because he doens’t understand and would want to be on my lap, hugging me, whatever, all the time. I have spent exactly 1 night away from him ever, so this is the hardest part for me.

I can’t wait to feel better though! I am being proactive and starting weight watchers- I have about 40 lbs to lose and am truly hoping not to gain weight after this. I have also read The Thyroid Diet book, which gave some decent advice on eating (honestly not my favorite, but some of it was useful). I figure 1 week away from my son is worth it if I can feel better and have more energy to play with him.

That’s all. No questions this time- just sharing.

Thanks! It’s done–and so far, can’t believe how easy it was. I miss my boy, but have kind of enjoyed the quiet and getting to just relax all weekend with the house to myself. My palpitations have gotten bad, so I’m looking forward to it "kicking in" and keeping my heart from skipping so much.
    Thanks for the support!
