I had my Graves’ disease treated by RAI almost 5 years
ago. Now a friend with Graves’ is facing RAI after a
year of ATDs. I offered to be the one person in her life
who could give her a hug in her first days post-RAI.
I assume that since my thyroid has been radiated, that
any exposure to hers wouldn’t do me any harm.

    Any thoughts?
I know that I really missed human contact for the week
after my RAI, and I’d love to be able to make it easier
    for her.

It took me four years to get my thyroid hormone replacement
    in balance.
I’m not risking this delicate balance, am I?
