Hello – I am not personally familiar with a connection between RAI treatment and Barrett’s esophagus. There aren’t a ton of studies out there that have looked at cancer and RAI treatment for hyperthyroidism; most of the existing studies were done on RAI for thyroid cancer, which involves a much larger dose of radiation.
This thread from a while back includes the 3 studies that I am aware of that looked specifically at RAI for hyperthyroidism and cancer – and the results were mixed:
