I know we can’t ask for/give physician recommendations on here, but I moved back to Massachusetts in February and still have not been able to get in to see an endocrinologist. At first it was because I had no insurance, now I have subsidized insurance, but soon I’ll be full-time at my job and will have really good insurance…so I’ve been hesitant to see anyone who takes my state insurance but won’t take my private health plan in a few weeks when I switch.

I did a search on here, and also looked at the 2011 conference presenters, and saw that Dr. Jeffrey Korff was a presenter and is listed in the directory. The endocrinologists at my regular doctors’ office (which has primary care, gastroenterology and ob-gyn, too) said they treat thyroid disease, but mine has been complicated. My Florida endo wanted me to go to a renowned specialist at MGH in Boston but he only takes the subsidized plan, not the private plan I’l have next month, so there’s no point in seeing him once.

I’m wondering if anyone who has met or been a patient of Dr. Korff (offices are in Northampton, MA) could send me a private message. I don’t want just any endo – I want someone who treats Graves patients regularly, and understands TED, too.
