    Hi! This is my first time to post. So glad I found this site! After finally finding out I have Graves Disease, I was put on propylthiouracl last week. I am still on a beta blocker, too, until my heart rate is regulated with the propylthiouracl. I was just curious if anyone has had experience with this drug? I just really don’t know what to expect. I have a positive attitude and hope that the medicine will work for me. Thanks!

    I was on PTU for 3 years. I really had no problems with the medication at all. The only thing is I was never able to come off the beta blocker. For some reason even after surgery I still needed to take it to keep everything in check. I wasnt really happy about it at first but as long as I feel good that is all that matters. Good luck.
