Just had RAI a few weeks ago. Did other women who were premenopausal at the time experience a rapid change in periods, acne, bloating, breast tenderness etc. after RAI? I am feeling like I"m going to have a period any time now, but haven’t and since my calendar was so strange during my two years being so sick with Graves I’m not sure if this is just a part of the thyroid dying from the radioactive iodine. Any insights into other’s experiences would be appreciated.

All I can say for a certain fact is that the hormones can affect each other ~ I was premenopausal when I had RAI and I didn’t notice a specific issue with these things, but as you say, it’s ALL messed up while we’re sick, so it may have just been similarly messed up when I was recovering.
