Ok well since I felt sorry for myself, ranted and rave on here I better post some positive things as well. I saw the Endo on Tuesday, he said my thyroid is swollen and he called it a goiter. He explained that the antibodies in my body and the size of my gland that I would very unlikely go into remission. But that is ok…The good thing is, is that since my eyes haven’t developed protrusion that it is unlikely that they will. He said this happens as the disease progresses. My labs have decreased, but I am still hyper and since I couldn’t take my meds as reccommended he change it so I could get the proper dosing. I do feel better, and have energy. I do concentrate on staying lighthearted, easy going, and on what I am thinking about so I don’t get caught up in a vicious circle with myself (stress). This sounds wierd, but he said once my labs come down I will start to get my menses back as they were before being hyper. I go back in 6 weeks to get my LFT test and another thyroid test. I will probably opt for RAI since my gland is swollen and it won’t stop unless the thyroid is no longer working.

    Thank you

    Sarah
