hyperm,
I don’t know the answer to your question but I can’t think of a real reason why you couldn’t have the surgery during your period. Now being pregnant might be different but you would be so early that I don’t know if that would stop you either since you really need the surgery. I’ll be thinking of you and hope for the best.ewmb
I tend to agree with ewmb. but it is certainly something you WILL be discussing with your doctor! The period should not alter things, but there are the anesthesia/developing embryo interactions. Please keep us informed.
Hi all as you know I am going for surgery on Wednesday. Anyway…. I have to go for a pregnancy test on Monday as there is a slim chance that by accident I may be pregnant. However, I feel my period coming and am just wondering if anyone knows will it be ok to have surgery and have your period?
I know this is a really personal and embarrassing question and not sure if anyone has an answer
Thanks

Hyperm…I just want to say good luck with your surgery Wednesday.
HI thanks all,
Yeah I didn’t think that it would make a difference with a period as she never mentioned anything but just wanted to make sure – thanks for your reassurance. ” title=”Smile” />
As for being pregnant – its a very slim chance but I had to mention it a little hiccup in birth control but if I turn out to be pregnant then I will not go ahead with the surgery as I wouldn’t put the baby at risk although I would be concerned though about a TS post partum – but hey thats all jumping the gun – I have to go tomorrow morning so I will let you all know. I don’t want to say I hope I am not pregnant as I would then feel exceptionally guilty if I was..however I really do need this op so I suppose its all in God’s hands and His plan for me.
Will let you all know tomorrow lol
Thanks again everyone.

I actually went to my surgery in May on the first day of my period – except for feeling really yucky, tired, crampy, etc, it made no difference at all…no one seemed to care!
Good luck with your surgery, come back soon and tell us how you did:-)
Thanks all so much! OOOh its really here now! Phew deep breaths! I am so scared but I need to see it as a way forward!
K thanks for that info my period is due the day after the op soooo….lucky old us eh???
I can’t thank you all enough for your prayers!! I really need them. I think the worst part after the op is I really am going to miss my boys …. 3days I know but I am a real sop! lol
No Doubt be on here tomorrow needing lots of reassurance! lol
Until then you should all rest your hands so your don’t get repetitive strain ” title=”Very Happy” /> ” title=”Very Happy” /> ” title=”Very Happy” /> ” title=”Very Happy” />

Not being preggers can be sad, but as you say, it is in God’s hands. Did you get to ask your doctor if having your period would affect you during or after the surgery? I think that it would probably be wise to at ask! You never know…
Good wishes and prayers are coming your way. ” title=”Smile” />
God Bless.
All my prayers are with you! ” title=”Very Happy” />
Prayers…..and just think…you’ll be at that swing park in no time!!!!!!! Hugs Rhonda
