    The GDATF will be in Nashville in May exhibiting at meetings for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists & American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. During our time there, we will be hosting a patient education event! Details:

    The Graves’ Disease & Thyroid Foundation will host a patient outreach event on Saturday, May 16th from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at atmalogy (Create Room), 2320 West End Ave., Nashville, TN 37203. Please join us to:

    * Connect with fellow patients and family members.
    * Ask questions about treatment options.
    * Learn about patient service offerings from the Graves’ Disease & Thyroid Foundation.
    * Find out how you can start a support group in your own community.

    Joining us will be Dawn Elfenbein, MD, MPH, Clinical Instructor, Section of Endocrine Surgery, Division of General Surgery, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

    The event is free and open to patients living with Graves’ disease, thyroid eye disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and related disorders. Friends and family members are welcome!

    Hi Kimberly!

    I just wanted to drop in and thank you for the event in Nashville. You may not have gotten the turnout you’d hoped for, but I think it was incredibly helpful for me and the other gentleman there. It felt so good to be with people who understood exactly what I was going through. Thank you!

    Many thanks for the kind words! It was great to meet you – I’m so glad that you found the meeting helpful. Those who stayed home (the damp weather probably didn’t help) missed out! :)
