I had orbital decompression on one eye 4 days ago. The other eye will follow in a week or two. My bruising is not bad. My question is, why can’t I see any difference in the position of my eyeball? Does it take time for the eyeball to sink back in? How long? The Dr took the floor bone and side wall bone out, I would think there is plenty of room for the eye now.

Elf…I would guess everyone is different, but I would give it some time for the internal swelling to go down! Hang in there… I’ve had multiple eye suregeries…decompressions/eyelid and most recently the one where they sew up the outer corner…..before surgeries small children would say "MOmmy…look at the monster!" Now, people stare and stare, knowing something is just a little different and say "you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen" GOOD LUCK!
