    Hi Donna!

Thanks for sharing your info from the ophthalmologist (4 yrs and I just learned to spell it).

I took a pair of sunglasses and painted over one lense with black paint for driving. Really a bummer trying to drive down two roads at once!

    Hi Everyone!

Saw the opthamologist (sp? – I may have to look that up one of these
days) today. I said before that I was blessed with my docs and today
was no exception. The assistant that examined me was tested for GD,
lucked out and doesn’t have it, but is the helper for the GD support
group here. The group actually meets at the optho’s, so the staff is
really in tune with the problem. The doc was super. Told me to close
one eye during the occasional double vision episodes – especially if
I’m driving so I can get off the interstate without a major accident!

Bruce – I know you have the eye problems without the thyroid stuff. He
thought that was perfectly normal (if you can call it normal). Anyway,
he said once you get the autoimmune disease, you have
separate diseases. They each go their own way – Gd can get better and
eyes start up or vice versa. He thought the eyes would get better in
18 mos to 3 yrs – if no major problems.

PTU hasn’t helped much yet except on stairs. If I could just get rid of
    the itches!!!!! -Donna
