    Hi
I am hoping to find out some informatin. I have graves and TED. The problem is my work is starting to make me work nights. I cannot see very well at night and the lights from the cars make it difficult on my vision. Does anyone else experience this? I am hoping my doc will give me a note so I can only work day hours as it scares me to drive at night. Is this related to TED and graves. Anyone elses input would be greatly appreciated…. I see my doc tomorrow
    thanks

Don’t assume that this problem has anything to do with either Graves or TED. See your eye doctor and find out what is going on.

I don’t know whether it is similar or not, but I experienced night vision difficulties, went to my opthamologist and was told I had cattaracts (sp?) developing, which were the ‘culprit.’ But there could be a lot of reasons and ONLY your eye doctor can tell you.

I had night blindness during my active TED and I went to the ophthamologist who had my see the retina guy for a complete check. He didn’t find anything wrong. I still don’t see as well as night as I used to, but it is better. Seeing a specialist is the thing to do.

I’ve also felt my night vision is worse when my levels dip down.

thanks for all replies. I saw my doc and she wants me to see the eye doc as I am supposed to get regular check ups but she was really sweet and said if he didn’t give me a note she would. I see him June 7th for an eye exam so as you said its best to check everything out to make sure it isn’t something else

    thanks

I too am a DES daughter. Trust me it hasnt been fun. I have stage IV endometrosis as well as the Graves Disease. I spoke with my gyno regarding this and he said there arent enough studies to support the two. My mom feels very guilty. I was one of the 3 kids she had to take it with. I am the only one out of the 3 with any health problems. I had 4 miscarriages as well and was never able to carry a pregnancy. We have been truly blessed by our two adopted children from overseas. I have also heard that the third generation from the DES have been effected. I hope all goes well with your daughter.
