Good @ labs.
Stymie, how is she doing “overall ” the past few days? Anxious? Irritable? Hungry? Poor sleeping? P and BP? Good to have all this info at your fingertips, even in brief notes, it is SO EASy to forget the one important thing you wanted to say.Does not seem that you need to leave the pediatrician. But if this continues to be confusing and confounding, ask him for a referral to an endo who has a clue about Graves….sorry, i am not checking your other emails first to see….just saying this and signing off. looking forward to hearing from you.
My little girl is 46, and I feel the same about her…..
ShirleyHi
She is still complaining of sleeping issues. Her bp looks good. Hr is usually 95-107. Hasn’t said anything about anxiety. Just sometimes hard to catch her breath. She’s pretty laid back.
She is a competitive cheerleader so I’m reluctant to leave her at practice now. I just stay and read a book just in case she has any issues. I’m not sure what id do besides call an ambulance, but it makes me feel better just being there. Just in case.
Had all her tests done this morning. Hopefully I will hear from her pediatrician on Friday. I don’t plan on changing peds since they seem to be doing everything they can at this point. And I’m very happy about that.
I will let u know how it goes.

Diane. Just a thought. Most labs nowadays have online services. I use Lab Corp and I get my results the same time my doctor does, usually within 24 hiurs. It keeps my history of all labs and I always have access to read my own results…usually way before my doc calls me.
Karen
Thanks Karen
I went to the hospital to get these done, so I’m not sure if they have something like that available. I will check into that though. Thanks for the heads up!
Diane
Hi,
Just wanted to check in and give an update on my daughter.
Her antibody test came back normal. They did a anti thyroglobulin test her result was
<20 range 0-40
Ultrasound showed some vasularity which is consistent with hashimoto disease.
I have made an appt with a peds endo and we are seeing him today.
My main concern is she has a hard time catching her breath when her heart starts racing. Which is not all the time. Just randomly.
I feel maybe I’m being a little over protective, but I just don’t feel I can chance my daughters health and not look into this further. Call me crazy idc.
My next step is a peds cardiologist.
I will keep you all updated. Thanks for all your support.
Diane
Wishing you and your daughter well, I hope the peds cardiologist gives you good news. I know when I’m hypo my heart symptoms are worse than with hyper even.
Thank you so much!!
He sent us for blood work and hopefully I will have results by Monday.
Praying for nothing but good news!
Diane
Hi, Shirley here.
You are NOT being overreactive! You are being a wonderful parent/mom/advocate for your sweet little girl. Good that she is seeing cardiologist and having labs…doing all the right things to help her…
