    No problem! I just realized my previous post wasn’t 100% clear…the 12-18 month time frame is actually for patients who choose anti-thyroid drugs as their primary treatment option.

    For patients who are prescribed anti-thyroid drugs just to get levels down prior to RAI or surgery, this can be accomplished much more quickly, generally in a matter of weeks.

    Gotta love travelling across time zones. :D

    Yes I understood what you meant actually. Have done a lot of reading these last several weeks. Need to have more knowledge on board. Reading these posts and having people like you to guide us through all of this really helps. I don’t feel all alone!
