If your daughter has Graves’ Disease, it is NOT likely she has tumors in her thyroid. She may have a goiter (swollen thyroid) due to imbalanced thyroid hormone levels, but tumors are not a typical occurrence with Graves’. If she has just had a thyroid storm, you need to figure out some way to get her help and begin the healing. There must be some kind of hospital nearby for people in your position ~ check teaching hospitals, med schools, anything you can think of. If nothing else, park yourself at an ER with her and ALL of your questions/concerns, and tell them you’re not leaving until someone gives you a resource to help her get well, a resource that will be an ongoing relationship.

This is bound to be a long road, getting her back to health, so you will need a doctor that understands your financial position and lets the care come FIRST. Someday we’ll catch up with the rest of the world on healthcare…..

Please I need help , Life or death help !!!
My daugther is 27 , No insurance , and unable to work . She was diagnosied with graves, Hypo thyriod storm , she has 2 tumors on each side of her thyriod , also has a blood clot in her left lung , i can not get no help , she is so sick she is real pale week , she shakes like crazy severe headaches , nosebleeds , she feels like she is burning up with a fever all the time , it be 10 degrees out side we have to open windows because she says shes on fire, she is always sick , she passes out on me alot . she is severly depressed. skeered to leave the house., Im a single mom , on ss disability . im dirt poor , I’m scared she is going to die on me , I can’t get her no help. cant see doctor because we cant afford it , No one will even check to see if tumors are cancer or not , and cancer has killed 8 out of ten people in my faimly , the more I read the worse it gets because evryhting is againist her ,, i left my home in nc to come to oregon to try to find help but none yet , she get injured on her jobs and a few weeks later got sick passed out and thats when all this stuff wwas found the hospital got her vital signs lowered to safe leavels sent her home with referrals to doctors , knowing she could not afford it and had no insurance..
im begging pleading for help, i have no clue where to go or what to do ,

I’m scared for her , Please someone reply with some info if you can
she is all i have ..
