I have been running a low grade fever since July. When it began my endo did blood work to test my WBC’s, liver function, thyroid levels, etc. All of which were normal. About two weeks later she did the blood work again since nothing had improved and my T3 was up and TSH was low again and I had to increase my dose of Tapazole. The fever has not gone away, although my last thyroid level test a few weeks ago was better. I am having more blood work in about two weeks, I just wondered if anyone else had experienced low grade fever for a prolonged period. It really makes me feel rotten.
Thanks,
Lori CHi!
I’ve experienced a low grade fever also. My doctors don’t know why. I have read in Dr. Arem’s book that low grade fevers are associated with chronic fatigue syndrome. This disease does make you feel the effects of fatigue…maybe your doctor should check you for chronic fatigue also. Take it easy!

Hi, I get a low grade fever at least once a week. Last week I got one 3 times. It comes as rapidly as it leaves. Ive never had it checked out, but when I see my endo in Nov. Im going to mention it to him. Ive also havent had a high fever since I was a kid. Ive always thought that was kind of weired, because Ive always been told a fevor helps fight infection, or is an indicator of infection. Ive had the flu, broncytis, colds, inner ear infection, still no real fever. Gigi
Hi,
I had a low grade fever for years before i was diagnosed with Graves. It usually ran about 99.8 degrees. That stopped after iwas treated with RAI. Now my temperature runs low, around 97.2-97.8. But I also had swollen lymph nodes in the neck until i was treated. They were about the size if a big marble, they are now about the size of a little marble.
No one seems to know why, and I asked. -
