I’ve been on my thyroid medication (same one you mentioned) for 3 years and 1 month now. I too, had up and down periods but now things really seem to be on a very even keel. I feel very lucky. My results were always in the normal range last year but I felt like I was on a yo yo. I think it takes a long time to feel normal after the treatment starts. However, I can now say I really do feel quite well. I attribute this to the medication and the following other things:
Adequate sleep
Stress reduction
Regular cardiovascular exercise
Slowing down when I don’t feel well. ( a luxury most people don’t have)
I hope this helps. I plan to continue taking my medication indefinitely and do not intend to get RAI. My Endo also supports this route because she does not want to risk aggravating my eye problems which have also settled down.
