Hi Sandi, I am sorry you are having such a bad day. I wish I could cheer you up, I hate to hear someone is sad. Just know that you are not alone and that we care about you. I would mention to your doctor about the leg cramps. I get them a lot…they are my first signal that I am hypothyroid. Don’t be hesitant about mentioning any symptoms you have to the doctor. Even if they aren’t Graves related, it doesn’t hurt to ask.
I hope your day gets better!!
Hugs,
Melaniewe are remodeling our house (almost 3 years – husband away most of the time) i’ve always been able to work most men into the dirt – now i just can hardly move. after about 4 hours my feet and legs hurt and ache to the point i’m in tears. my arms feel heavy. I’m on 50 mcg of levitoroid
xanax(twice a day) and efferxo (and 4 tylenol a day for arthritis – came with graves) i was having terrible feet cramps – since my levithroid has been reduced they arent as bad but the leg and feet pain is way way worse. And, this may play a part, I’m about 50 pounds above my normal weight of 150 (5’9″ tall and normally 140 to 150 pounds). Do I need to tell doc of these new problems? I go for blood work tomorrow and am to schedule appt to see him – do I need to ask for different blood work? i am so sick of this. I’ve been wearing a patch for almost a year so i can function with this double vision – should have corrective surgery in August. I keep thinking after the surgery i’ll be all better but it doenst seem that way – only vision will be better but I wont. I keep a good positive attitude but this new pain makes it very difficult. Please advise anything that I should do to feel better. I am sad today.
Thanks for listening to my ramble. God Bless, Sandi. The only time I got achy and could hardly move (I felt like my muscles were in a constant state of flexion) was after I had RAI and had become hypothyridic very soon after. The endo upped my Armour Thyroid and told me to take calcium every day. These have seemed to ease it up alot.
What’s the deal with your eyes? My left one is very swollen and irritated. What is the surgery you are having?
Hope you are better soon!
Cindy
I’ve had decompression surgery on both eyes to relive the pressure on the optical nerve – was causing blindness. then had radiation to both eyes – once stable for 6 months will have surgery to align the eyes to stop the double vision – after decompression the left eye dropped to the point it sees the floor and wont move – but as I’ve said before I can seeeeeee. I’m having blood work today – i really think they lowered my levithroid too much and its making me hypo. good luck to us all. Sandi.
