I had my tonsillectomy when I was 5; I’ve been symptomatic ( Graves) since I was 15 but not diagnosed until I was 43.

Had mine out at between 5 and 7. Diagnosed at around 43 -45. Are you thinking the dr. damaged the tyroid tissues in some way? I know this has been something I have thought about. I suffered from bulima for many years. I have wondered if the frequent purging caused tissue damage/inflamation and that made me more likely to develop graves. I wish some endocrine med students or researchers would look into these things. I would gladly particpate in a study.
