It’s not a medicine as such it’s a replacement hormone for what you aren’t making anymore. You need it. You can do this.

It’s okay Krystal, I’m the first person to tell you that I HATE taking meds, but sometimes they are needed. Before long, I expect you’ll be on here with a happy face and be that bubbly person that you’ve been waiting for…
Truly, this is NOT medication, it’s not chemical in the way you’re thinking. This is hormone your body no longer makes, hormone your body desperately needs, AND it takes time to build up in your system before you’ll feel the full effect, otherwise you’ll just continue to feel worse and worse all the time, so PLEASE do this for yourself.
It’s exactly the same hormone your thyroid would be producing if it could. Does that help?
Final words: hypothyroidism is just as fatal as hyperthyroidism. You just go quieter because you’re so tired.
Take my synthroid. I have weird anxiety to medications and im freaking out:(
Oh dear Krystal, I hope you took that medicine by now and realized that it’s okay. I don’t like taking medicine, either. And it stinks that we’ll have to take it forever. We’ll get used to it, though. And these tough times will get smaller and smaller as we put them behind us. Let us know how you’re doing, okay?
Okay everyone thanks so much. I knew out of anyone you would all understand:) its too late to take it tonight. Ill take it first thing tomorrow morning.
I took my synthroid at 11 03 am. Lol. I also have my boyfriends sister wedding and reception tonight. I sure hope everything goes well.. I wish there was a place where we could all share pictures with one another. Hope everyone has a very GOOD DAY.
Yay! I’m proud of you! Cheers to feeling better very soon and I hope you have a nice time at the reception!
AHHH,
Day 2 of Synthorid! No complaints yet, (Knock on Wood). I have been reading some horrific stories on the Internet so i simply just X’d off and said Ill have my story and I don’t need negative influences on my already anxious mind. However, I have noticed the past two times I have slept I have had crazy vivid dreams, has anyone had this on synthroid or is it just a coincidence? The wedding was beautiful and the reception was fun and I was SOBER SALLY. Ugh, I just want to do everything I can do make sure the synthroid absorbs right before I put anything un Needed into my body. I had a drink but sat it down in hopes the staff would take it and they did ” title=”Smile” /> I drank water all night! I was lame I know but just being cautious. I was dancing to the electric slide and the other line dances like bootie call, cha cha cha. HA HA. Man, my calves and legs were so weak out there my legs felt like rubber. It was crazy. I stuck it out though and I’m paying for it today. I literally went to bed at 4am woke up at 12 fell back asleep around 230 and just woke back up at 10 15pm. Took a bath, ate and got on here to check email, facebook and myspace. LOL.
Well just thought id drop a line and chat for a bit. Im waiting on the Boy Toy to get home from work around 11 15pm.
Goodnight
KrystalI have been told by the ENDO and the pharmacist that it is important to take it in the morning an hour before you eat anything and that it is also important to not forget to take it so they can get a good reading on your dose after about 6 weeks. Also they said do not take vitamins for 4 hours.
