    Joseph,
Where do you live? That might give some of the people who know about what to do to help you out better information. Sorry to know that you are struggling. This is the place to ask anything and everything about graves. The first few weeks of the diagnosis can be rough mentally. Knowledge about your disease will make things easier to handle. If you have the time and patience try and read some of the old posts.

When I was diagnosed, hubby and I did not have insurance and we had to do a "lot" of negotiating. We were mostly successful.

If your income is below a certain level, you may qualify for some sort of temporary state or federal aid.

I am so sorry for this. Lu Anne

In Washington State, you need to contact a Community Services Office that serves your area. They can be found in the blue pages of a phone book. They also have quite a bit of information available online at

There are several different programs that can be considered. All are based on income and other eligibility factors. The CSO will also facilitate an application for federal benefits if appropriate.

    I hope this helps.
