    Buttamamma,
I’m not sure about Florida, and I live in Wyoming now, but when I lived in Arizona, they (Doctors offices) couldn’t by law refuse you your medical records, unless it was such a case like Mental Health Records where they thought reading them would adversely affect your health.

I’ve read here on the boards that most people like to get and keep copies of their bloodwork levels so they know what their levels are, and can tell by their own levels what is best for them, and can communicate to their docs what levels they feel best at. Hope this helps. <img decoding=” title=”Very Happy” />

Thanks. I just wanted some opinion. Because I would hope they can’t get results saying I have RA and because I can’t afford to come in they won’t call me and tell me or call in some kind of prescription.

Well you know the saying.."If it don’t make dollars, then it don’t make sense…". Well, that must be the case for me. I had my RA bloodwork done on Friday. I called today to see if the clinic has my results. Now, I have to have my levels checked next Friday (just for hindsight of this conversation).

So, I ask the nurse or whoever answered the phone if my results were in. She puts me on hold and comes back 15mins! later. The first thing she says is, "I don’t see your next scheduled appt in the system?". I’m like, "Okay?!" are they back yet? She says when do you want to come in to see the doctor for them to go over your results. I told her I don’t have 90.00 to come in this week, then pay 76.00 for the t3,t4,and tsh blood work on next Wed, and then 90.00 more next friday for those results! She says to me oh well, they aren’t back yet try in a couple of days.

My question….If they do find something; are they not obligated to call me and let me know something? Or at least say hey, you don’t have to come see me, but I need you to schedule with a Rheumatologist and I will let them discuss it. Can she (the doctor) get my results and not tell me because I can’t afford to go and make an appt? As much pain as I am in, can they leave me like this? Not, knowing what is causing it or anything?

    Someone anyone help?????

If you do have rheumatoid arthritis, treatment will be more complicated than just calling in some kind of prescription, and you will have to actually see a doctor. I would think that since you’ve paid the money to see the doctor and can’t afford to go back, that doctor should at least give you your test results and diagnosis.

Let that doctor know what your situation is, and ask for your test results and diagnosis. Ask if they have any suggestions for you since you have run out of options for resources.

I’m sorry you are in this situation.
