Burning suggests to me that your eyes may not be as well lubricated as they should be. When people spend a lot of time in front of the computer, for instance, they tend not to blink frequently enough. And, if the lids are not quite closing at night, the eyes can become dry. Using antihistimines seems to make mine worse, as well. It’s an easy thing to treat with over-the-counter artificial tears. These drops are not the “get the red out” type of drops. They are clearly labeled “artificial tears” and they come in drops and gels, and goos for nighttime. Since your eye doctor basically said everything is status quo, it couldn’t hurt to try the drops.

I forgot to tell you that I am also having problems with my graves eyes again. They have been stable for a long time but lately they are burning a lot and I feel more pressure and I think they have bulged out a bit more. I went to my eye doctor and he can see nothing to worry about. He suggested lid surgery to lower my lids. But I have not had a problem for almost five years so why would that cause me to have more eye problems now. He did a field vision test and said that I am normal.

Hi Bobbi, I do use drops..and gels in my eyes at night and more drops during the day. I keep them right by my bed and I wake up every couple of hours and relubricate. I also wear a night mask most nights that seems to help. My main problem is that I think I am headed toward hyper again and I want to know if there is a way to tell before the blood tests can prove it. I have so many of the symptoms and this keeps happening to me. I just can’t seem to stay regulated. I am in very good health if it wasn’t for my thyroid problems. I have been tested for diabetes and tons of other things and everything is really good. I also am curious about the T3 stuff. My doctor does not think T3 is important. She took my T3 tests because I asked her to do it. What is a normal T3 rate? Thank you, Spygirl.
