Absent any other conditions that preclude it, your daughter should easily be able to have more children once she’s been successfully treated. Considering the fact that she just had a baby, I would say all systems are go!

    Sable,

As posted last week, I am 33 and just had my first child a year ago. I noticed unusual symptoms after giving birth and wondered if I had MS because of my hand tremors. Just by coincidence I went to the family doc. with what I thought was strep throat. She then referred me to an endo. Right before my daughter’s first birthday I was diagnosed with GD. I had RAI tx mid July and saw my Gyno last week for an annual. She told me once levels are normal future children should be no problem. My endo had also told me that stress on the body, such as pregnancy and childbirth, can bring on symptoms of GD, though they can’t tell me how long I’ve had it. This was my ONLY concern of having GD b/c I want several more children. So, tell your daughter to comply with recommendations for tx and I wish you many more grandchildren.
