and this site always reminds us that they never hear from the people that have successfully lived with this disease. I am just posting to say to take your time in figuring out what treatment options are right for you. I have been in remission successfully for 14 years. It took me three and a half years and four endocrinologists later before I found someone who would actually respect my decision to find my own path to remission and work with me. Not hear to tell you what I did to accomplish that because may not work for everyone and I am not a doctor, my important message is that based on your live style and what you can and cannot control in your life, do your own research and make the decision that works best for you.

    Hello,
You are right that it is the job of the individual to find out what the best treatment is for that individual. The choice of treatment should be made between you yourself and your doctor. Your doctor should and really must respect your choice of treatment if your choice is a reasonable one for you.

Your post is exactly what I needed at this time. A good reminder that this disease takes time to become manageable. There are ups downs and downs.

Sometimes I become overwhelmed when I read so many posts. It has only been one week being told of being hyper again. Only three days of being told eye pressure is up again. I have been kicking myself thinking I contributed because of smoking again.

I’m dusting myself off and trying to quit again. This disease is a journey. Thank you for that reminder
