I had plugs put in 6 months ago. Don’t know how I lived without them.
This month I am having the second drain plugged in my left eye. The
optho does a 24 hr one first, and then fits me for the “permanent one”
They can be removed if I ever want them out, but I plan on keeping them
forever. If they feel strange just give yourself a week to adjust.

    Hi all,

Went to the doc today and had them put temporary plugs in my tear drain ducts.
Was a piece of cake and only one fell out by time I got back to work.
The doc said my drainage ducts were so big he could drive a mack truck through
them. He put a few in each duct incase one fell out. Feels good so far.
What they do is keep your tears from running down the duct into your sinuses
    and keeps the eyes moist.

Wanted to get it done because I am going caving in Ky and wanted to enjoy the cave
without my eyes getting dry. Talk to you all latter.
