I’m sorry Graves had to rear it’s ugly head on a holiday for you. It sounds like your children may be younger, and I’m sure it’s hard on them too. They just can’t understand our mood swings. There is still a chance that they will accept/understand this ugly disease.
My adult children, family members, and friends just aren’t as forgiving. I’m like you, I don’t want to be around anyone. I don’t like being afraid that I may have one of those outbursts and cause a bigger rift between us. I do not want to hurt my family/friends worse than I have already. I have learned to enjoy my own company – and since I talk to myself all the time, I don’t get lonely – haha!
You have to keep a sense of humor during this thing – or you will go nuts!
