Graves doesn’t have anything to do with allergies, to my knowledge. Some of us with Graves do have allergies, but others do not.
There can be a lot of different factors influencing allergies. (I have some of those.) The climate in any particular year might be different than “normal” years, causing some plants to pollinate off schedule. Or, a particularly wet season could affect the quantity of molds. Or, your body may, over time, just become allergic to more things, or more excessively allergic to something that has only bothered you minimally in the past.
If the allergies are making you ill, as mine did, you might consider consulting with a doctor who specializes in their treatment.

Hi all. Been a few since I’ve corresponded here. Was dealing with a lot of stress and well now I’m trying to put me first but kind of failing in that department too. I have noticed that my allergies are extremely bad this year and was wondering if Graves’ has anything to do with it. I do have allergies, which usually only last 2 weeks in the spring and 2 weeks in the fall. No biggie. Well its been 3 weeks now, my eyes are extremely swollen and draining so bad and well I just plain ol look like pooh, not to mention I’m now extremely tired (nope, my blood work still hasn’t changed as my endo thought maybe finally I was going hypo but the blood work showed its still on the hyper side (which my racing heart proved that and I’m back on my beta blocker). Just wanted to find out from anyone if they’ve experienced an increase in allergies as this is really strange.

I don’t think Graves make our allergies worst. I think it is just our bodies that have fallen to pieces, so that everything seems worst. I am going thru the same thing. Seems worst than normal, but my hubby says no, that I am just noticing more.
Hope you can find some relief for them.
