    UPDATE: After 2 months of waiting, saw my new endo yesterday. I have found a caring, wonderful physician. He did a 1 1/2 hour exam, explained EVERYTHING, recommended RAI.
    Changed dose of methimazole, explained why. Changed dose of atenolol, explained why. Actually explained RAI versus surgery and antithyroid drugs. Discussed symptoms, even personal/mental problems with the disease. Did complete physical exam, tested eyes, reflexes, muscle tone, strength…I was in TOTAL shock.
    He told me EXACTLY what the risks are while in treatment. No question left unanswered. I will go into RAI treatment confidently now. My only regret is that I could not have seen him sooner.
    I am not bragging, my wish is that we ALL find a doctor as knowledgeable and sincere as Doc Johnson. May God bless us all. <img decoding=” title=”Very Happy” />
