MLK, my Graves’ was also mild I went into remission for two years after taking methimazole for about 6 months but when I relapsed I went to two different endos that would not put me back on ATD’s so I went ahead and did RAI, if you find a good endo they will check on you frequently post RAI to catch you before going hypo. My endo has done this for me, I know it has theres a potential to have a few kinks in finding the right amount of synthroid, I feel like the benefits in the way I feel, think, heck my whole life has been returned to me, those benefits are just too good, I still don’t regret it. I’m no doctor, I’m not trying to sway you either way, I’m just sharing my experience. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or ask here. I know it was hard to find positive accounts of people’s experiences with RAI, especially online.
