Was hyperthyroid from 2008 til April of this year. I am going on a trip tomorrow morning, and won’t hear back on my most recent bloodwork til early next week.

I’ve been within normal levels with no medication since April, but started feeling symptons within the past two weeks. (I thought is was just from a bad cold at first. boo)

Is there anything I can do to control symptoms in the next few days while I wait to here what to take of my prescription? Any advice? It’s pretty mild, but my heart is elevated and I am definitely a moody jittery anxious nervous nelly, which I am usually not.

Hello – Wow, that’s frustrating! I would suggest contacting your primary care provider to see if he/she has suggestions. Since you are feeling symptomatic, perhaps there is a way they can contact you via phone/e-mail/fax or even call you at a hotel or other residence where you will be staying with lab results and dosing instructions?

You know your body – and if you feel like things are really going wrong while you are on the road, a trip to the local ER or urgent care center would be a good idea.
