I recently posted about the soles of my feet, calves and hip hurting. I think it’s crazy but those problems lasted for two weeks and are not an issue this week. My hands and feet are swollen, I itch all over — especially the palms of my hands. I sleep with a hair brush in my hand to scratch with! My endo said, the feet symptoms are not related to the thyroid because my TSH is in the normal range, but it could possibly be related to my elevated Glucose. I went from a TSH six weeks ago of .71 (hyper symptoms for me)taking 100 micrograms of Synthroid to a TSH of
2.35 now taking .88 micrograms of Synthroid. My endo origionally aimed for my TSH to be 1.00 – 1.50 but now she’s ready to cut me loose. The end result is, at my request, I went home with a two perscriptions of Synthroid .88 and 100 which I can alternate any way I choose. Hopefully, the itching, constipation and slugishness will go away in a few weeks. I pushed myself to exercise last night and I’m getting back into the habit of drinking lots of water. If I can get to a place where I don’t itch, have regular B.M’s and am pain free again in the knees and hips I’ll call myself normal. For those who don’t know — I had my throid removed 09/05 and I’ve been trying different doses of Synthroid every 6-8 weeks ending up with a great number once but it didn’t stay for long. Not giving up.
